SOE WINE FESTIVAL
Friday, September 9th 2011

Last night we played one of our favourite festivals: The Shores of Erie Wine Festival. A quick recap: the day was grey and muddy, but everyone was working really hard to make sure the whole evening went smoothly. We played pretty early, but as the crowd filled in, the stage lights lit up, and the sun tucked itself away, the evening turned into a definite concert.

It was great to see so many local wineries and restaurants sporting their stuff. I ate some sliders from Manchester, but missed the boat on the wine. The two headliners yesterday: Pat Robitaille and Sam Roberts, were both fantastic. Everything sounded tight and clean, and the pulse was captivating. I watched mostly from behind the stage, enjoying a drink, and staying out of the light rain by holding close to a tree.

Overall, it was a great time, and it's not over yet. More artists will be playing over the weekend, including buddies 'Big Wheel and the Spokes', 'Sarah Harmer', 'Crissi Cochrane', and 'Stereo Goes Stellar'. Check it out if you can!
