It's been a crazy couple months for us as a band. We've experienced some of the worst luck imaginable. It's a pretty hard blow when everything that you work hard on begins failing on you. We lost our vehicle in an accident which was out of our control. Our new van lasted for every stop of our East Coast tour and then broke down in Fredericton, leaving us stranded. As indie musicians we don't exactly make the most money, and losing our van as an asset as well as paying the expenses of getting home (GreyHound was even on strike!) it's just been a rough go.
HOORAY! HOLIDAYS!
Monday, December 19th 2011
Michou has always been a group of very close friends, and through a couple bottles of scotch and whisky, we all figured out what we wanted to do and why. We now have 19 demos, and are going to begin recording a record in the new year. We will also be raising money to record, and buy new gear to fit this new direction and new time. We've all been very excited about the music we are creating and music in general. Hang tight with us, and we will keep you informed as things develop after the Holidays. All the best to you, from the bottom of our hearts. We've received kind words, gifts and letters from many fans, and we can't tell you how much it means. Even when everything goes wrong, we still feel like the luckiest guys in the world.
Best,
- Mike
